At the bank of the river and besides the Chitral Fort is the Shahi mosque .
Shahi mosque was built nearly 100 years ago by Mhetar Shuja-ul-Mulk. From here you can have the beautiful view of Trich Mir.

It is said that Islam was introduced to Chitral gradually from 14th to 16th century. The majority of the people are of the Sunni sect whereas there are few Shia Ismaili communities in the northern areas.
