This chant is sung on sarazari, the first night of the chaumos festival. It is an appeal towards the sacred juniper tree and
asks for their welfare.
The main frame of the melody consists of two notes, E and F .
E is ornamented with C sharp (minor third below E). This pattern,
a two-tone melody of minor second ( semi-tone) with an ornamented
minor third is frequently used in a chant.
